Have you ever dropped everything to chase a dream? That’s Cabinet Renew.

Originally hailing from the Southwest Suburbs of Chicago, Mike and Kevin, lifelong friends and co-owners of Cabinet Renew did just that. It started like most crazy ideas… with a few drinks. “Shut it all down and move to Florida? Why not?” And so it began. With a lifetime of cold winters, high taxes, and the constant desire to be by water and sun to drive them, an idea quickly became reality. Mike had a small but successful painting and wood finishing business and Kevin had a career in sales. With seven kids under the age of eight between the two families and not nearly enough money saved up, it was a huge risk.

Being in the painting industry, Mike could see the increasing demand for painted cabinets and knew that a company that specializes in top quality cabinet refinishing would be in high demand. The idea was simple. Develop a repeatable process using only the best available materials and never compromise on quality. Strive for the best possible customer experience by having great communication, employees that you would want to have in your own home, and absolute transparency. And it worked…

What started out in a makeshift spray booth Mike’s garage grew quickly. Within a couple months the company grew into an 800 square foot facility, then 2000 square feet a few months later, then 4000 square feet six months after that. Kevin and Mike will tell you that by treating customers the way that they deserve to be treated, treating employees like family, and consistently exceeding clients expectations, everything else just falls into place. If it sounds simple, that’s because it is.

Fast forward a couple years and Cabinet Renew is by far the most experienced and best reviewed cabinet refinishing company in the Sarasota area. With 150 reviews on Google, all of which are 5-star, and 40 on Facebook, also all 5-star, no other company even comes close. As a specialty company, the only work they do is cabinet refinishing. Day in, day out, every person is focused on only one service.

What began as two guys hustling to make their dreams come true has grown and evolved into a company of highly skilled people who still hold those original fundamentals at heart. A company built of people who still care. That’s what sets Cabinet Renew apart.

This was an investment for us and our almost 20 year old kitchen. We updated counters and backsplash too, but the cabinet refinishing put it all over the top!! The process was interesting to watch, Mike and the team did a tremendous job preparing everything, cleaning up after themselves and were kind and polite! They finished today and I have to say, this investment was worth it! The transformation was incredible!! I wouldn’t hesitate to call them again or to recommend them to a friend!

There are many, many places to get cabinets that look good. As a DIYer the service behind them is going to matter the most. Will the company really spend the time helping you, or do they just sell what’s available. Why chance it? If the older cabinets still work fine— “renew” them!Cabinet ReNew warranty’s their work and it shows. Chris— customer service shown here, KevinFalls and his whole team are excellent people and will help make any 20++ kitchen look amazing without the shocking price associated with a kitchen renovation. Their turn around time is amazing so your inconvenience is usually just 2 days. Cabinet ReNew has excellent coatings, skill for application; and top notch workmanship for installation. Their customer service is amazing. They will be the first call I make for all my friends when they want to update their home. You always get your money back when you spend it “right” in the kitchen with matching cabinet updating in the bathrooms.
